WHAT’S THE CRAIC?

Dog mess is still at the top of the agenda.  If you see anyone fouling or want to report dog mess here is the government link.  I have, this week (7th December), contacted Bari Aziz on this matter and he has refered it to John Green of waste management but if lots of people complained……. here is the address

I have had a letter from John Hemmings the local MP who is now looking into making Francis Road no cold calling.  He says he has written to the Regulatory Services Department about it and will contact me when he recieves a response.  He feels that this should resolve the matter.  I will keep you posted.

People have been contacted about the alarms so we are very pleased about this.

On Saturday night (19th Sept) a stray dog was found in the street which had no ID and, when we took it to the 24/7 vets (608 on the Warwick Road, Solihull) it also had no chip.  Fortunately Mandy and Roy took the dog for a last walk before retiring and his owners were looking for him and spotted him – a happy ending all round!

HOWEVER………………

Have you got a dog or know a dog that is unchipped?  Maybe you have not got round to doing it.  Well, one of our trusted tradespeople URBANK9 dog groomers on the Yardley Road are offering the service for £15 (same as the vet I am told).

As reported in our events page you can now go swimming and use the gym at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre for FREE!  Pick up an application for at the pool bring in proof that you pay council tax to Birmingham City Council, photo ID and a recent bill and you will be given your leisure card.  In order to use the gym you will need an induction first.

BEWARE!! – On Sunday 30th August, in the afternoon, a man was seen acting suspiciously in the road, initially appearing to be lost but was then seen weaving across the road looking up driveways and entries.  He was of medium build, wearing a peaked cap, pale blue jumper/fleece and black trainers. PLEASE BE VIGILANT AND REPORT ANYTHING UNUSUAL.  THE YARDLEY ROAD NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAM IS AT THE POLICE STATION ON YARDLEY ROAD, ACOCKS GREEN TEL: 0845 113 5000. EXT 7824 6258

The organisation of the Halloween Trick or Treat sounds really well thought out. Very considerate. Have a good one!

That’s a great idea about the cut-off time for Hallowe’en, and the posters. How can people get hold of the posters? Is it worth putting them up a few days in advance, or do you think only on Sat 31 Oct itself?
